Tourism Development in NPT
This 3 year project aims to help tourism operators in the rural wards of Neath Port Talbot showcase the area to visitors and further develop NPT as an attractive and convenient base for a visit to South West Wales.
Working with tourism operators, the project will:
- Map their business development needs to understand their aspirations
- Undertake research to understand visitor requirements
- Deliver ‘sense of place’ networking events
- Establish networks to deliver destination management actions
- Deliver a pilot project to create a digital visitor information portal
To date the project has:
- Established destination management task and finish groups
- Delivered a of ‘Sense of Place’ event to coincide with the 2017 Visit Wales ‘Year of Legends’
- Commissioned visitor research, photography and videography
