Welsh Government has announced that the outcome of the UK's exit from the European Union is more positive than was originally anticipated. There are some changes to the RCDF scheme but these are not now as severe as had been expected.

Any project Expressions of Interest/Formal Applications submitted to the funding window which closed on 31 October 2016 will be subject to a time constraint and all project spend must be completed by October 2018.

Following this, to date, two more funding windows have been announced in which to submit Expression of Interest Applications/Formal Applications – one in December 2016 and another in February 2017, for these there will be no time constraints for project spend, other than the end of 2020 when the Rural Development Programme comes to an end.

Welsh Government will announce the dates of further funding windows in due course.

This is good news for Wales as it means that the full £57M, originally allocated will now be fully utilised.
